Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actressand model, well-known for her appearances in daytime television, episodic guest appearances, and made-for-television movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in CBS's soap show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor and Martin Sofer, a Conservative rabbi. When her parents divorced, her family moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1970, Sofer emigrated with her brother David and father to Teaneck in New Jersey. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was based in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was the director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was the rabbi at Temple Beth El. After graduating from North Bergen High School she was a student at Montclair State College. Sofer was the first actress to play Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993 as a band manager. Her first appearance on television was that of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap hosting host. Sofer is most likely best known for her character Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24, 1996). She then returned as guest-starring (February 7-17 in 1997; September 30 September 30 - October 2 1997). Her portrayal of the comical Lois was a huge hit and earned Sofer an Emmy Award in 1995. Daytime Emmy Award in 1995 for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. Sofer became a part of CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The premiere of the show aired in July 2013. Sofer has been a support cast member/guest star in a several high-profile primetime television shows, such as Seinfeld and Melrose Place. The first episode of her debut aired on July 12.
