Rose McGowan

 Rosa Arianna "Rose") McGowan was born September 5, 1973. She is an American actress. Her film debut was a brief role in the comedy Encino Man (1992), McGowan received more attention for her performance in the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995), receiving an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance. McGowan first appeared in the horror film Scream in 1996. In the following years, she was the headliner of Jawbreaker (1999), Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Going All the Way (1997). McGowan was most well-known for her character in Charmed which was a supernatural drama series that aired on WB from 2001 until the year 2006. Quentin Tarantino directed her double-feature film Grindhouse (2006) and in which she was awarded the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the Scream Award to Best Scream Queen. In 2014, she appeared in Chosen, an action-thriller television series. The actress dropped Planet 9, her first studio album in 2018, and a repackaging of the album was released in 2020. In 2017 Time named McGowan one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for her stance on sexual harassment and assault particularly in relation to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me Too movement. She's published a memoir, Brave, and starred in the four-part documentary series Citizen Rose, both in the year 2018.
